National Tree Day at Tjukurla was a success!
"For Tree Day 2001, We received 70 native trees and shrubs from CALM at Warburton. We planted 40 plants at the school, 7 in front of the local store and 11 in the grounds of the community hall. The rests were given to the community for their gardens. The prospect of watching the trees grow around the small community is truly a unique experience for everybody involved.
Perhaps, our small oasis will become a monument of how a simple idea can provide quality shade and natural beauty for all communities and towns."
