TreeSmart offsets are available for individuals and for organisations.
Passenger vehicle offsets are based on an average-sized Australian passenger vehicle, travelling an average of 14,000 km per year and emitting 4.3 tonne of CO2.
Air travel offsets are based on individual air trips (one-way, return or multi-leg). They account for the increased emissions during take-off and landing, the emissions during high-altitude flight and the emission of greenhouse gases other than CO2.
Conference travel offsets are designed for conference organisers who want to offset the travel emissions of delegates travelling to and from the conference.
Offsets for Other Emissions are for any other activity that creates greenhouse emissions. The offsets for these activities are based on the estimated number of tonnes of CO2-e created by the activity.
