Welcome to the new Urban Forest Biodiversity Program website. It has been created to provide information and resources on Adelaide’s biodiversity, wildlife gardening and associated activities.
The Urban Forest Biodiversity Program is supporting the vision that Adelaide is recognised as a clean and green city leading in ecological sustainability. Unfortunately, habitat destruction and fragmentation has caused significant biodiversity loss, with many local native species under threat.
Biodiversity conservation and management is crucial to help restore and ensure a healthy and sustainble local environment for future generations.
We hope that you will take time to look around this website and explore Adelaide's biodiversity; consider developing a Backyard for Wildlife; or help us to conserve our wonderful local environment by getting involved in some of the important biodiversity conservation projects that are happening across the region.
